Seafood Christmas Platter

A seafood Christmas platter in the shape of a Christmas tree, filled with oysters, lemon rings, shrimp, seaweed salad, bay scallops, lobster, canned smoked salmon and capers.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oysters
  • 1/2 pound lobster meat cooked
  • 1/2 pound shrimp cooked
  • 1/2 pound bay scallops
  • 1/2 cup seaweed salad
  • 1 can smoked salmon
  • 1 stick tuna jerky
  • 1/4 cup capers

For serving

  • salted butter melted
  • cocktail sauce
  • sea salt
  • rosemary sprigs for the tree outline

Instructions
 

  • Shuck the oysters, being careful to inspect for any damaged shells or off smells.
  • Assemble the seafood tree on a large platter or baking sheet. Add serving utensils and serve immediately!!

Notes

Replenish ice cold oysters as needed (they all may not fit at the bottom of your tree).
Adjust amounts of seafood depending on your guest number and replenish platter as needed.
Remember, this platter, as with all perishable appetizers should be consumed within two hours of being out of refrigeration. When in doubt, toss it out.
