- 12 ounces sliced smoked salmon
- 1/2 cup whipped cream cheese
- 1/4 red onion thinly sliced
- 1/2 English cucumber thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons chives sliced
- 2 tablespoons capers drained
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill chopped
- 1 lemon cut into wedges
- 2 cups pistachios
- 2 cups assorted crackers
Place the smoked salmon in the center of a large circular platter. Surround the salmon with all the accoutrements – cream cheese, red onion, cucumbers, crackers and pistachios.
Place capers, red onion and lemons in smaller bowls, if you’d like, then place on the platter. Place dill scattered throughout the board.
Fill in any of the holes on the board with additional crackers, nuts, herbs and other fall decor (I used a little brass pumpkin).
Make sure you place utensils on the board, if needed, like cheese knives, a small fork (for the salmon), a discard bowl (for pistachio shells – and anything else that cannot be eaten), small tongs, etc.
Serve.
